The Wonder Team, written with Jordan Glover

The Wonder Team began as a way for us to tell the stories of inspirational women throughout history. So many fantastic women haven’t had the attention they deserve and we wanted to thrust them into the spotlight and shout about their achievements. That’s really where this all started.

Picking inspirational women to write about hasn’t been difficult – there are so many of them! We felt passionately about beginning with the amazing Dick-Kerr Ladies, the women’s football team who lived through the women’s football ban from 1921 to 1970. After this, though, we were eager to tell stories from all over the world. Now, we’ve always got our eyes open for any hint of a story waiting to be told.

The Wonder Team is for anyone who’s dreamed of leaving everything behind and plunging headfirst into a thrilling adventure. From the heady heights of the pyramids to the gnarled, tangled roots of the jungle, you can join Leah and her friends, Mimi and George, as they spin back into the past, make new friends and solve mysteries to save the day.
