Susannah Stapleton

After training as an archaeologist, Susannah Stapleton worked in museums and art galleries before becoming a historical researcher, unravelling mysteries for organisations and individuals. Her debut, The Adventures of Maud West, Lady Detective, was shortlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction. That Dark Spring is her second book. She lives in Shropshire with her husband and cat. When not writing, she enjoys creating literary automata and preparing specimens for her tiny natural history museum.
